Today we say farewell (but not goodbye) to Sara Edwards, who has worked in communications and outreach at 4Culture for the past five years. While her departure is a loss to the organization and to all of us, it’s hard not to be excited for Sara as she heads out for adventure.
In the near term Sara will be working with performance company Saint Genet, next week in Austria and at On The Boards in May. Starting in June she will attempt a through-hike of the Appalachian Trail. The 5-month trek will start in Maine and end in Georgia. Since her recent work in song and performance began with walking, we look forward to the creative work that will come out of this great challenge and adventure.
Sara’s legacy at 4Culture includes strategic work on our recent legislative success, outreach to County Council members, work with the 4Culture Board and staff on our mission and goals, our awesome online Annual Reports, staff support and countless meetings and relationships with the cultural community in King County. Sara initiated Blog 4Culture, that now serves as our website’s home page, and started our Facebook page as well.
Happy Trails, Sara – and thank you for your service. We will miss you, but can’t wait to see what you do next.
