SEE, HEAR, FEEL — EXPERIENCE
4Culture Supports Art Projects for King County

New dance, music, theater, media, literary and visual arts experiences for residents and visitors to King County are on the way! 4Culture's Board of Directors has approved peer panel recommendations for the 2008 Individual Projects, Group Projects and Underserved Communities awards to support 329 art projects for $541,199 in funding.

What do artists and organizations do with the money?
They offset expenses related to their project such as: a photographer buying a new printer; a composer paying musicians to learn and perform their work; a writer paying an editor for their latest book of poems. By providing this funding, 4Culture supports the ordinary needs of extraordinary projects.

How do these art projects benefit folks living in or visiting King County?
They are the reason many of us live and work here. Dance the night away at a festival; download free music; ponder why someone is living on a sea-sawing house; and learn about Chief Seattle's daughter. You have 329 new projects to experience. You'd better get started!

How do I know when to apply next year? How to I find out when some of these interesting things are happening?
Subscribe to news4Culture and we'll do our best to keep you updated on application workshops, deadlines and upcoming art events around the County.
