Aberdeen, WA + Weatherwax Public Art Project
The City of Aberdeen, WA, in cooperation with the Grays Harbor Community Foundation, is seeking an artist to create a significant three-dimensional artwork for the Simpson Triangle, a highly traveled site between the business districts of Aberdeen and Hoquiam, WA. The artwork will honor the legacy of a local family and inspire both generosity and commitment to community in local residents and those that pass through the City.
The artwork will be of a scale and level of detail to support both motorist drive-by and up-close pedestrian viewing experiences, and will incorporate architectural sandstone blocks of local significance as a re-use material.
The artist for this commission will be selected through an open call process, with the final artwork decided on the basis of paid, competitive proposals.
4Culture Public Art is managing the artist selection process, final design development and artwork implementation process for this artwork opportunity.

Burien, WA + Call for Mural Artist
The City of Burien and the Burien Arts Commission is seeking an artist or artist team to create a dynamic, innovative mural on the exterior surface of a downtown Burien building. The wall is painted concrete and is 18 feet high by 160 feet wide. It is required that the artist cover at least 50% of the wall with the mural. The artist will be required to include some type of community aspect in the design and/or creation process. Teton County Library is seeking an artist or artist team to create and install a new site-specific work for their lobby. Dubuque, IA + 7th Annual Art on the River
The City of Dubuque is soliciting applications for the 2012‐2013 Art on the River temporary outdoor public art exhibit. Each year, 10 sculptures are chosen to be placed at highly visible locations along the picturesque Mississippi RiverWalk. Thousands of residents and tourists view the exhibit. Atlanta, GA + FLUX 2012
Flux Projects is now accepting proposals for FLUX 2012, a one-night event which fills the streets and empty spaces of the Castleberry Hill Arts District with large and small-scale projections, performances, dance, music, light and sound installations, and other forms of multi-media works and public interactions. We are interested in works that are artistically compelling both aesthetically and conceptually, creative in their approach to public space and human interaction, and that address a broad audience. We are also interested in projects that involve community participation or address social concerns. The Kresge Foundation’s Arts and Culture Program helps nonprofit arts and cultural organizations in the U.S. properly maintain their buildings through Facility Investments and Building Reserves Grants. Palm Desert, CA + 2013-2014 El Paseo Invitational Exhibition
El Paseo is the premier shopping street in Palm Desert and the Coachella Valley, located in Southern California. The exhibition space consists of eighteen lighted concrete pads located in the median along a one and one half mile stretch of prime retail. The artwork remains on exhibition for approximately 2 years, with installation planned for October - November 2012 and de-installation planned for November 2014. Tacoma, WA + Spaceworks
Spaceworks Tacoma is an initiative to activate empty storefronts and vacant space. The initiative makes no- and low-cost temporary space available to artists, fledgling creative entrepreneurs, organizations, and community groups who transform vacant spaces through artist residencies and creative enterprises. There are currently 2 tracks available as part of this application: Creative Enterprise and Artist Residency.CREATIVE ENTERPRISE This program provides designers, crafters, consultants and other fledgling entrepreneurs with the chance to test new products and services in a physical space. We are currently looking for artists who can move into spaces on a rolling basis for three or six month durations.
SPECIAL PROJECTS This program offers dedicated practicing artists the chance to pursue projects and develop work in any discipline for up to six months. This could include individual artist residencies, but preference will be given to especially active projects.

Jackson Hole, WY + Public artSPOT Project
At the gateway to Jackson Hole WY, a dormant gasoline station sign has been converted into a public art venue, displaying 2-D and sculptural works. The project is seeking artwork for an ongoing exhibition. Artists should consider the temporary exhibition of the art, creating work from recycled, reused and repurposed materials (although this is only a suggestion).
