Technical Assistance

Preservation 4Culture staff offers field assistance to organizations, agencies, and individuals working to identify, protect, and showcase historic places in the community.

We offer advice in several areas:

Strategic Planning: Shaping preservation-based tourism and economic development initiatives

Partnership Building: Developing broad-based partnerships to further regional preservation goals

Issues Advocacy: Organizing and implementing effective campaigns to save historic places

Outreach and Education: Spreading the word about the benefits of historic preservation

Preservation Basics: Accessing the basic tools of historic preservation

1. King County Historic Preservation Program: The official historic preservation program of King County government - contains information on landmark designation and incentives for properties outside Seattle city limits.
