$11 million available for TE projects

The Puget Sound Regional Council (PSRC) has issued a call for projects for the 2010 Statewide Transportation Enhancements (TE) Program. Over $11 million in federal funds are available through this program for transportation-related activities, which include historic preservation; archaeological planning and research; and rehabilitation and operation of historic transportation buildings, structures or facilities. Examples of projects funded by TE grants are the Heritage Corridors project, the Re-Visiting Washington guide, and the CWB’s collaborative plan for South lake Union.

PSRC will conduct a public workshop on June 8, 2010 from 1 to 3 pm to provide more specific information on the application process and eligibility requirements. For detailed information on this program and the workshop, go to PSRC’s TE program website.
