To build on the successful launch of the ARTISTS UP initiative in 2013 and continue to reach communities new to our agencies, ARTISTS UP will host a free, informal session to inform and connect Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islander artists throughout Seattle, King County and Washington State. The mixer is designed to demystify funding programs and processes, share best practices through peer learning and build connections between artists and funders.

This mixer will take place on Monday, June 9th at Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) located at 3639 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Seattle. Artists creating in Dance, Literature, Media, Music, Theater, Visual, and Public Art are welcome. It will begin at 5:30 pm with an Art Tour of ACRS (optional) and be followed up with an Information and Networking Exchange from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. Creative activities for school-aged kids and language interpreters are offered upon registration. Light refreshments will be served.  Free parking and accessible via Metro Bus #48. We encourage everyone to REGISTER by early June. All are welcome!

Artists Up is a collaborative series initiated by the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, 4Culture and Artist Trust to learn from and better support all artists in our region.

Special thanks to our host and partner, Asian Counseling and Referral Service.
