4Culture and King County’s Parks and Recreation Division seek a skilled and highly-motivated planning artist to participate in a year-long residency focused on the Regional Trail System (RTS). The artist will spend 10 hours a week in the office and in the field, research the RTS and its needs, and develop an arts master plan that articulates the identity of this unique amenity and a long-term approach for public art programming within the system. This is not an opportunity for the planning artist to develop their own artwork.
The selected artist will value the context of the extensive network of trails and their communities, and through the plan foster an increased sense of public ownership and connection to the RTS.
The deadline for application is February 7, 2011. Visit our Calls for Artists page for details.
