Aether’s Reverie: Ver

This video is a screen capture of the software artwork Aether’s Reverie, a pure mathematical four dimensional geometric structure that randomly evolves over time.

Aether’s Reverie is also a codebase with many possible aesthetic variants with changes in geometric and compositional formal elements differentiating each permutation. This version is called Ver, latin for spring, with a lighter, verdant, palette.


About the Artist

Joseph Gray is a Seattle based artist and designer working with new digital and electronic tools and techniques. He has exhibited at Design Miami in Basel Switzerland, Bumbershoot in Seattle, Unit B Gallery in San Antonio Texas, The Lab in San Francisco and other physical and virtual locations. He also created the video course Processing and Arduino in Tandem for O’Reilly Media and has provided technical assistance to artists Gary Hill and SuttonBeresCuller. Joseph graduated from Cornish College of the Arts in 1999 with a BFA focusing in fine art video and sculpture. As a designer Joseph has worked on online advertising campaigns and interactive installations for major brands.
