Every arts organization needs its special tools: Theaters need lights, museums need storage racks, orchestras need music stands, cinemas need digital projectors. A single computer workstation can launch an emerging organization to new heights, reaching new audiences and better serving its community. 4Culture funds these needs!
The Arts Equipment program is offered at least once each year, supporting the purchase of equipment by arts organizations and local government arts agencies. A portion of Lodging Tax revenues collected in King County provides all the funding for this program. Applicants can request 100% of the cost of the equipment. In 2011, 93 organizations requested $910,369–out of those 93 organizations, 52 were awarded between $500 and $15,000 for a total of $228,900.
