Eligibility: Expert-level proficiency with the applications Adobe Creative Suite relevant to print: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Your knowledge and usage of InDesign needs to come as naturally to you as breathing. Deep understanding of offset print production requirements, including color specs, ink limits, paper stocks, print processes, CMYK conversions, and the ability to talk directly with the printer, if necessary. Strong typographic and layout skills.
PublicDisplay.ART seeks an experienced designer/production contractor to produce page layouts for the magazine and prepare the files for publishing.
We need someone with a proven track record in designing and publishing print materials and publications who can seamlessly step in to design 28 pages in our June 2026 issue (Including FOB features & columns, Don’t Miss It! and exhibit listings).
This position will report directly to the Publisher and work closely with the Editor.
This position is a freelance contract role paid on an hourly rate based on experience and set by the designer. This contract will run through the June issue, with option to contribute to future issues.
Depending on your experience, the job can be performed offsite, in-house, or as a hybrid.
