Request for Qualifications: Historic Mural in Hoytsville, Utah

  • Deadline:
  • Budget: $10,000
  • Eligibility: This RFQ is open to all professional artists and/or artist-led teams.

Celebrating and honoring history, heritage, and culture of Hoytsville and Summit County, UT.

The Summit County Public Art Advisory Board (“SCPAAB”) is seeking qualified artists to execute a highly creative two-dimensional mural artwork to be installed on the exterior of the Public Works Building in Hoytsville. The surface material of the building is concrete and brick, and the design should cover at least one-third of the 364’x11’ wall (approximately 121’x11’), with some flexibility based on concept design after community interviews and mural design development. Included in the process will be a “listening tour” — interviews and meetings with Hoytsville residents, local historians, and Indigenous Tribal members. The Mural process may also be documented with photos and video, so applicants should be willing to consent to documentation.
