Visiting Assistant Professor of Sculpture and Multi Media
REED COLLEGE seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor of Sculpture and Multi Media for a .5 FTE sabbatical and leave replacement in the Fall 2022-Spring 2023. Salary and benefits are competitive. M.F.A. is required, and previous teaching preferred. Teaching responsibilities include three courses per year (1 in fall and 2 in spring ) one introductory level using 3-D materials, and 2 advanced level courses covering 3-D materials and contemporary art practices. Faculty will also work independently with thesis students.
We will consider candidates with a specialty in any of the following materials: wood, ceramics, textiles, metals, and any of the following areas of expertise; social practices, installation/performance, architecture and/or landscape and environmental works. We are interested in candidates with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and evidence of professional accomplishment.
