The Poetry on Buses Roadshow is on! Next stop: Folklife, the FREE regional Memorial Day festival now in its 44th year. This weekend, at Seattle Center, Folklife celebrates the cross-cultural roots of Hip Hop in the Northwest. Check out their Program Guide for the many offerings.
Poetry on Buses invites you to hop on a RapidRide Poetry Bus for some poetry, music and love.
Saturday, May 23
Noon – 6PM @ Fisher Pavilion
Come for the poetry – 40 local poets will share their words, a few at a time at the top of every hour from Noon to 5pm. And stay for the music, with Love City Love musicians Earnie Ashwood, Felisha Barnes, Isaac Castillo, Olisa Enrico, Amos Miller and Jeff Terada joining forces with a set of poets for the 5 to 6 hour.
Check out the full line-up of poets, drawing on Writing Home themes curated by Michelle Peñaloza, at poetryonbuses.org/news.
See you Saturday!
