The Cornish Playhouse Arts Incubator residency aims to facilitate the risk taking of the allied arts. The goal for this program is to support artists in the creation of work that is outside the boundaries of their genre, discipline, or comfort zone. The intention of the Cornish Playhouse Arts Incubator is not to create a final, polished product. Instead, the program seeks to give artists time and space to incubate and begin to develop an idea, concept, or exploration. Nine groups will be selected to participate in the Arts Incubator residency. They will receive free rental space at the Playhouse to incubate new and exciting ideas.

The Cornish Playhouse Arts Incubator Program is open to anyone age 18 and older, including professional and non-professional artists, teachers, ensembles and groups, students, Cornish community, and those outside the Cornish community. The lead artist applying must be a Washington State resident.

Applications are due by June 9, 2014
