The Long Walk Short Film Fest
Thursday, February 28th – 8pm
Northwest Film Forum
1515 12th Avenue – Seattle, WA 98122

Join Susan Robb and the Northwest Film Forum for an evening of films that explore the cultural implications of being ‘on the road.’

Are You Doin’ Some Stuff, A Journey Into The Slow Movement Movement
(filmed and edited by Rodrigo Valenzuela, 10:23)

A Kind of Experiential Geography, The Long Walk, 2011
(filmed by Gabriel Miller, edited by Karina Nyquist and Susan Robb,  6:32)

The Long Walk, 2010
(documentation shared by the Long Walkers 2010, edited by Britta Johnson,  4:44)

This trio of short films was shot as part of Robb’s The Long Walk commissioned by 4Culture and King County Parks. Both the walk and these works reflect a sense and appreciation for time and landscape.

A perfect companion, James Benning’s meditative take on Dennis Hopper’s counter-culture classic, Easy Rider will follow.

Stay for a short Q&A after the screening and the opportunity to explore a menagerie of art and ephemera contributed by Long Walk participants…
