Animation artist Tess Martin recently completed a charming short film called Part of the Cycle that explores our relationship to water.
“All the water we have is what you see on this Earth,” states Kristin Covey, wastewater treatment education specialist and tour guide for Brightwater. Using ink and water and her extraordinary storytelling skills, Tess shows us how we use and re-use that finite resource and how we are all part of the cycle.
Part of the Cycle is commissioned through Brightwater’s on-going public art programming, produced by 4Culture in partnership with King County’s Wastewater Treatment Division. As part of the Conveyance Project, Tess and five other county-based artists are producing temporary artworks designed to inspire and engage the broader community in a conversation about water quality in our region, environmental stewardship and the extent of the Brightwater system.
