UW Intellectual House
The University of Washington commissioned an Art Plan for its Intellectual House, a longhouse-style learning and gathering space, to ensure that artists and artwork will be thoughtfully included as it grows and develops.

The primary purpose of the Intellectual House is to increase Native American students' success at UW, preparing them for leadership roles in their tribal communities and in the region.
A committee of University faculty, students and staff, and citizen advisors came together over multiple years to consider how artists and artwork can be thoughtfully included. In 2012, 4Culture was commissioned to develop an Art Plan for the project. It articulates ambitions and methods for a series of artworks for the longhouse-style facility and identifies artwork goals, sites, and resources.
