Jeanne Burbidge joins 4Culture’s board of directors
Burbidge brings legacy of public service to Federal Way to the Board
The 4Culture staff and board are proud to welcome Jeanne Burbidge to the 4Culture Board of Directors. 4Culture is King County’s cultural funding and services agency supported by Lodging Taxes and the 1% for Art ordinance. A 15-member Board of Directors is the governing body of 4Culture, with individuals representing the cultural, geographic, and ethnic diversity of King County.
The King County Council and Executive Dow Constantine appointed her on October 1, 2018.
Jeanne Burbidge has had a long career in public service, having served on the Federal Way City Council 20 years, and as Mayor (2002-2003) and Deputy Mayor (2014 through 2017). Previously, she was part of the team that led the way to incorporate Federal Way into a city, and she served on the city’s first arts commission. She has a long-standing dedication to the arts, having served on the boards of the Northwest Chamber Orchestra and Centerstage Theatre. She worked diligently with others to bring to fruition the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center.
“Jeanne Burbidge brings strong qualifications to 4Culture. As a longtime resident of Federal Way and a member of the Performing Arts Foundation Board, Jeanne provides a much-needed perspective from the south sound region. I know that with Jeanne serving on the board, the residents of South King County will be well represented.”
