Commute

Feet leave the earth, step

into steel, start flying

low above the ground. Feel it?

At speed, feet read the road

groove and rumble

beneath the wheels.

Feet land, toe to curb, then heel,

walk into day, transported

and transporting, stride

or stumble: as before, anew.

Praise.
