Landing is Like

Stopping, breaking
heels clicking
on the tiled floors,
steps echoing as I run
to meet someone, find something,
eagerly, with a smile. Ankles,
passing through a tough time
twisted in a divot. Arrival
upon new unseen
territory. Parrapa.
Forging a new home.
The grace
of a swan leaving
not a splash.
Scraping up mud
for an answer.
