kinumot ng mga alon
unan ang mga pulo
pusod ang mga ilog
hinele ng hamog
tumahan sa ilaya.

I was born at sea
blanketed by the waves
cushioned by the islands
nurtured by the rivers
lullabied by the mists
rested upstream.
