Why do some 4Culture grants now have two due dates?
…and what does Intent to Apply mean?
With the passage of Doors Open, we have had to add more grant eligibility requirements to some of our grant programs, and we have also seen a steep increase in applicants. Because of this, we’ve made some changes so the application process runs smoothly for you.
Several of our grant programs now require a 2-step process. The first step is to show an Intent to Apply, due 2-4 weeks before the final application is due. We may reach out to you during this time to ask for more information, so please make sure your primary contact information is up to date in your account. We are asking you to:
- Save a draft of your application and update basic profile information. This means you must have a draft of the grant application saved in our system. That’s it!
- You should answer questions that are indicated as required at the Intent to Apply stage, but you do not need to fill out the entire application. This will ensure that our grant managers have ample time to assist you with any issues that may come up during the application process and make sure you get to the finish line!
For our Launch grant:
- Submit an Intent to Apply form and update basic profile information so we make sure you meet the eligibility requirements. We are doing an eligibility check up front to save you from going through the application process unnecessarily if you are ineligible to apply.
Please refer to the specific grant web page or contact the grant manager to learn more about what is required. Thank you for your help as we grow and adapt to the needs of the cultural sector in King County.
