Call for Artists: Vashon Night Lights Installations

Eligibility: Open to artists and creative teams in Washington State and the greater Pacific Northwest region. Emerging, mid-career, and established artists are encouraged to apply. Experience with outdoor installations and/or light-based art is recommended but not required.
The Lodges on Vashon invites regional artists to submit outdoor sculptures and/or illuminated art installations for their December event series, Vashon Nightlights. We are seeking creatively lit, free-standing, outdoor sculptures or light installation artists to install art that brings enchantment, introspection, levity, and a mysterious spirit to the darkest time of year. Themes could include multi-cultural relationships to Solstice/dark/seasonal myth, interactive and kinetic art safe for families, audio/visual art that can be left in weather but can be turned on by staff with minimal technical requirements without an artist present.
