We invite Seattle-area contemporary dance artists to apply to the James Ray Residency and Touring Project (JRRTP), a program of the Seattle International Dance Festival (SIDF). The application portal opens October 6, 2025 and closes November 14, 2025. The residency begins January 1, 2026. Information and application at: https://seattleidf.org/james_ray_residency.
JRRTP is a comprehensive program that includes financial support, touring development and support, free rehearsal space, business/operations consulting, and a fully-produced performance at the Seattle International Dance Festival on June 10-11, 2026. The program will award four Seattle-area based contemporary dance artists/companies time and resources to fully develop their work, steward and grow new and current donors and patrons, and create better systems to facilitate the creative-performance cycle. The program also fosters the local dance ecology and enriches the city’s cultural landscape by supporting Seattle-area artists.
