Unexpected Productions Improv
Board of Directors Volunteer
- Deadline: Ongoing
- Budget: Volunteer
-
Eligibility: Over 18
Unexpected Productions — Seattle’s longest-running improv theater — is looking for passionate, community-minded people to join our Board of Directors.
We’re a working board, which means we want people who actually want to show up, not just lend their name. Board members serve a two-year term, contributing roughly 1 to 3 hours per month.
What’s involved:
Quarterly in-person board meetings (Tuesday evenings)
Monthly committee participation in areas like governance, outreach, or board development
Advocating for UP: attending shows, spreading the word, building relationships
An annual financial contribution at a level meaningful to you
Board leadership training, fully covered by UP
We’re looking for connectors: people who love the arts, believe in community, and want their volunteer time to actually matter. Experience in nonprofit governance, fundraising, marketing, law, or finance is a plus, but enthusiasm goes a long way.
Based at the Market Theater in Pike Place Market, we’ve been making Seattle laugh, think, and connect for decades. Come help shape what’s next.
