The City of Normandy Park is seeking an artist or artist team to design and paint a mural on the restroom building at Marvista Park, a popular destination park located in the City of Normandy Park. According to recent surveys, Marvista Park is among the most frequently visited locations in the city, boasting a playground for children, a gazebo for rentals and picnics, a Rose and Pollinator garden, walking trails, a community garden, outdoor bathrooms, and more. Over a decade ago, a mural was painted on the outside of the park bathroom, and it has since faded and been tagged, so it’s now time for a refresh. This project offers an opportunity to create a lasting public artwork that reflects the community’s character and natural beauty.

The selected artist/team will be responsible for the full scope of the mural project, including design development, surface preparation, and final installation.

The restroom building is located in the northern section of Marvista Park near the parking lot. The structure features cement siding with the following approximate dimensions:
• Front and rear walls: 17 ft (W) x 9 ft (H)
• Side walls: 9.5 ft (W) x 7 ft (H)
The mural must cover all exterior surfaces.
