Eligibility: Professional artists of at least 18 years of age who reside in the United States are eligible to apply. Strong consideration will be given to San Francisco Bay Area or Northern CA artists and artists who have strong connections to the region. Artist must have prior public art or equivalent experience before applying (lead artist for a minimum of 2 public art commissions or permanent outdoor artwork installations).
Chandra Cerrito / Art Advisors (CC/AA) is seeking experienced artists for an Outdoor Sculpture Artist Pool for a beautifully designed new pediatrics hospital building in the San Francisco Bay Area. Art will contribute significantly to a welcoming, healing environment for this world-class institution serving infants, children, and young adults from diverse families of all economic levels. There are multiple opportunities for site-specific, permanently installed outdoor sculptures ranging from small-scale to monumental with budgets ranging from $90,000 to $700,000. The New Hospital Building is an extension of the hospital’s existing campus and is expected to open in late 2031. Short-listed artists will be provided further details.
Artist selection will be based on past work and finalist interviews. No proposals are required. As part of the contracted scope of work, selected artists will work with client stakeholders to develop site-specific designs. Artist must have prior public art or equivalent experience before applying (a minimum of 2 public art commissions or permanent outdoor artwork installations).
