Eligibility: Open worldwide to artists of any age and nationality, including King County residents. Individual and collaborative works are accepted. Existing, previously exhibited or awarded works are eligible. Online submission; no residence in or travel to Japan is required.
International open call for digital and media art, including interactive installations, video, animation, sound art, music, AR and VR. Existing, previously exhibited and awarded works are welcome; applicants need not create new work for this call.
Entry fee: JPY 3,000 (around $19 USD) per work, non-refundable. Each additional work requires a separate application and fee.
One Grand Prize: JPY 50,000 (around $316 USD) and a printed certificate.
Up to 35 additional Aion Digital Art Prizes: Certificates
Results: 5 May 2027.
Individual and collaborative works are eligible. AI-assisted work requires an explanation of its use; work made solely by AI is not accepted. Artists retain copyright. No travel is required.
