Marketing and Patron Engagement Coordinator

Eligibility: Qualifications include excellent writing and editing skills; experience with digital content, social media, email, or related platforms; strong organization, judgment, and interpersonal skills; and comfort working independently within a small team. Performing arts, nonprofit, marketing, CRM, ticketing, or data experience is preferred. This hybrid role requires evening/weekend availability, reliable travel to Seattle and Olympia, and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds.
The Marketing and Patron Engagement Coordinator supports the day-to-day execution of Emerald City Music’s marketing, patron communications, and concert operations. Reporting to the Executive Director and collaborating closely with the Artistic Director, this position manages social media, email marketing, digital advertising, grassroots promotion, and concert-week content.
Responsibilities include drafting and scheduling social and email campaigns; creating or adapting simple graphics, videos, and other digital content; managing paid campaigns and monitoring basic performance metrics; maintaining an integrated marketing calendar; coordinating poster and flyer distribution; and responding to routine audience inquiries.
During concert weeks, the coordinator captures timely content from rehearsals, performances, artists, and behind-the-scenes activity. The role also supports events in Seattle and Olympia, including front-of-house setup, box office and patron check-in, ticketing questions, and creating an organized, accessible, and welcoming experience for patrons, artists, volunteers, and community partners. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer, highly organized, and comfortable balancing creative marketing, patron service, and live-event support.
