Poetry in Public offers workshops celebrating poetry, guiding you on a journey toward writing a poem that may be featured on King County public transit in 2024.

Spanish-Speaking Community Liaison José Luis Montero will faciliate this workshop primarily in Spanish during the Sea Mar Fiestas Patrias. He is a bilingual writer who is passionate about storytelling regardless of the medium. Montero will read poems on the Armory stage at 2:30 pm. Between 3 pm and 4:30 pm at Loft #2, workshop participants will write about their emotional connections to different landforms.
