Poetry in Public offers workshops celebrating poetry, guiding you on a journey toward writing a poem that may be featured on King County public transit in 2024.

Spanish-Speaking Community Liaison José Luis Montero will facilitate this workshop during the Día de Muertos Festival. He is a bilingual writer who is passionate about storytelling regardless of the medium. Presented primarily in Spanish, this workshop will offer sources of inspiration for writing and reflection.

Workshops are free and open to the public; please register in advance at the link below.

Please be aware that a photographer will be present at in-person events. We will ask for your consent to use photographs and recordings of your likeness for marketing or promotional purposes. Copies of consent forms will be available upon entry. If you are under 18 years old, you will need to have a parent or guardian sign your waiver.
